Office chair
components
The parts a chair is built on — the mechanism that moves it, the base that carries it and the clamps that join it together. Fifty-eight catalogued parts, every one made on our own tooling.
Mechanisms
Pushback, tilting, centre-tilt and synchro, with lock, tension and return.
Bases
Pressed and welded bases, 16″ to 26″, foot-ring and spoke variants.
Clamps & mounts
Eighteen bracket forms — our largest family, most of it press-tool work.
Handles & adjusters
Height and tension handles in pipe, 3D and adjustable patterns.

Auditorium &
institutional seating
Theatre-style auditoria, seminar and training halls, lecture rooms and stadium galleries across Chennai and Tiruvallur. Every chair sits on metal we pressed, welded and coated — the leg, the foot plate, the pivot bracket and the tip-up seat structure.
Floor conditions
Level, stepped and raked floors; tile, carpet, timber and concrete. Foot plates drilled and anchored to suit.
Row geometry
Straight and curved runs, ganged in continuous rows — the leg spacing and bracket set the arc, not the upholstery.
Variants
With and without writing tablet, armrest and back styles varied on a common structure and pivot.

Plant, tooling
& fabrication
Roughly twenty machines across pressing, forming, joining and machining, with a tool room and a powder coating line on the same floor. Dies, fixtures and welding jigs are built at our own bench — corrections between sample rounds happen here, not at an outside tool source’s convenience.
| Process | Machine | Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Pressing | Mechanical power press | 5 T – 250 T |
| Pressing | Hydraulic press | 250 T · 75 T |
| Forming | Pipe and tube bending | Round & section |
| Joining | Jig welding · orbital riveting | Dedicated bays |
| Machining | Lathe · drilling · tapping | Turned & threaded |

Custom tooling —
sheet metal parts
Need a die for a sheet metal part? Send the drawing. Custom dies, fixtures and welding jigs, built and corrected in our own tool room and priced for production runs. Because the tool is made at the same bench that runs it, turnaround is quick and corrections never wait on an outside toolmaker.
Own tool room
Die build and maintenance at our bench.
Quick turnaround
Typical die build: 3–4 days for simpler dies and 2–3 weeks for complex ones, from drawing approval.
Priced for production
Tooling quoted against the run it will serve.
Samples first
Off the production tool, not a soft prototype — what you approve is what you receive.

A drawing, a sketch or a sample part is enough to start. You get back a cost-to-make read, what we would change and why, and a quote.
Common questions
What does Divya Enterprises manufacture?
Metal components for the seating industry — office chair mechanisms, bases, clamps, mounts, handles and frames (58 catalogued parts, MT001–MT059), structures for auditorium and institutional seating, and custom dies, fixtures and welding jigs for sheet metal parts.
Where is the plant?
9, Balakrishna 1st Street, Kasipuram, Tondiarpet, Chennai 600081, Tamil Nadu. Tondiarpet is thirty minutes from Chennai Port and the Chennai–Kolkata highway, and visits are welcome.
Do you work to a customer's drawing?
Yes. We review the drawing for cost to make, build the die and jigs in our own tool room, and submit samples off the production tool — so what you approve is what you receive.
What manufacturing processes do you run in-house?
Mechanical presses 5–250 T, hydraulic presses 250 T and 75 T, pipe and tube bending, jig welding, orbital riveting, lathe, drilling and tapping, an in-house tool room and a full powder coating line — roughly twenty machines on one floor.
